Victori's terms page explains our terms for selling and sending
our merchandise to you, and our returns policy.

TERMS OF SALE and ORDERING INFORMATION:

Victori Limited

If you are ordering an item, please send e-mail messages to
orders@victori.com for ORDERS only.

Please be sure to include the following information:

Item#, Description
Your Name
Company Name (if any)
Address
City, State, Zip
Country
e-mail address and telephone number
shipping preferences, if any

Do NOT send credit card information.
We do not accept credit cards at this time
and we do not have a secure site for such information.

Dealers: please include sales tax exemption number.

On all items, we work on a first-come, first-served basis. Your order notice, sent to orders@victori.com, serves to hold the item for you if yours is the first order and if the item has not been previously sold. Inquiries about items sent to info@victori.com will NOT hold items for you. If the item is available, we will confirm your purchase via e-mail and give you the total amount due (price + shipping). The item will be HELD for a maximum of 10 days for payment. If the amount due is not received during that time, the item will be made available to others.

PAYMENT:
When we send an e-mail message to confirm your order, we will include the mailing address for your payment, and we will give you the total dollar amount, including shipping and applicable sales taxes. (If shipping costs are less than estimated, we will refund the difference to you.)

You may pay by check, cashier's check or money order, made out to
Victori Limited.

ALL CHECKS MUST CLEAR PRIOR TO SHIPMENT.
Items will be shipped as soon as possible after receipt of payment.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT WEARING ITEMS:
If you wish to order an item for wearing, please CONSULT WITH US FIRST about measurements, condition and other variables. This is important for the survival of the item itself and for your satisfaction. If an item should not be worn at all, we will advise you.

Note about measurements and wearing: the fit of women's clothing of the 1920s and before is very hard to define. The measurements given are approximate, to give an idea of size; nothing is guaranteed to fit a person or dress form of those dimensions. Vintage clothing collectors have different wearing rules; I don't think of garments made before 1870 as wearable. If measurements are not given, the article is of an age or quality appropriate for a museum or non-wearing private collection.

Damage from trying on or wearing an item makes it unreturnable,
and no refund will be given.

SHIPPING: Items will be sent via US Mail, FedEx or Airborne Express at the buyer's discretion. (Sorry, we will not ship UPS.) Buyer pays shipping charges. All items will be sent insured. Average shipping costs are given below only as a guide. Note: this table is provided to give general guidelines for average items. Shipping costs for express deliveries, insurance for higher-value items and fees for heaver items will be higher:

IMPORT DUTIES: If you are ordering from outside the US, check with your local customs office to find out what import duties may be charged for your order. Duties due are paid by the buyer.

NOTE: we will not mark shipments as "gifts" in an attempt to evade import duties.

SALES TAX: Minnesota residents will have applicable sales taxes added to the totals for their orders.

RETURNS will not be accepted without prior agreement.
Please send a message to orders@victori.com, or call if you wish to return an item. Returns must be posted within 5 days of delivery date. A full refund will be made, less shipping charges, on returned items. All returns MUST be mailed back by priority or first-class service, paid by you, and insured for full cost. Items must be returned in the SAME CONDITION as when shipped.

NOTE: Many items are fragile due to their age, so be very aware when handling. Sorry, no exceptions to the same condition requirements.

DAMAGED GOODS: All items are inspected thoroughly prior to shipping, so any damage other than as described on this website or in subsequent communications must be claimed by us against the carrier, and a refund made to you.

CONDITION: Items are described by the following rating scale:

NEAR MINT
No problems, as close to "new" as possible for age.

EXCELLENT
Shows normal wear expected for age, but nothing easily visible.

VERY GOOD
Shows normal wear expected for age with some minor problems visible, but problems will not detract.

GOOD
Has some definite visual problems. Structure is intact. Problems could be fixed.

FAIR
These items will be available at discounted rates, but for creative purchasers, they are still interesting pieces.

We will describe the condition of specific items in more detail as needed, but these ratings should be helpful.
